ALH 115+ - Clinical Instruction in the Healthcare Setting1 credit This course provides guidance to clinical instructors supervising students in healthcare settings. The following skills are covered: assessing the readiness of students to learn, educational theory, goals and objectives, learning and teaching methods, mentoring, feedback, and inculcating critical thinking in student performance. [AS NEEDED] Fifteen hours lecture per semester. Prerequisite(s): Enrollment is limited to students who are currently licensed, certified, or enrolled in nursing or other allied health programs.
