SGT 129+ - Surgical Practicum I5 credits A course to apply operating room procedures. Beginning-level practice of operating room procedures, including application of basic laboratory skills in an operating room setting. Applied skills include scrubbing, gowning, gloving, setting up, instrument handling and anticipation of needs with increased organization, speed and manual dexterity. Appropriate record keeping is the responsibility of the student. [FALL] Twenty five clinical contact hours per week, not to exceed 375 hours a semester. Prerequisite(s): SGT 128+ or experiential criteria approved by the program director. Corequisite: SGT 226+ SGT 228+
