ALH 110 - Phlebotomy I

A course designed to prepare students for ASCP certification as phlebotomists. Topics covered include: venipuncture theory and techniques, concepts of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology and terminology, and an introduction to standard hospital laboratory tests. The laboratory will focus on venipuncture and collection of blood samples for hematologic testing. [FALL, SPRING] Four hours lecture, two hours laboratory per week.
