MAT 115+ - Precalculus5 credits A precalculus algebra and trigonometry course to prepare students majoring in mathematics, engineering, or physical science for courses in calculus and higher-level mathematics. Topics included are polynomial, rational, exponential, logarithmic, trigonometric, and inverse trigonometric functions and their graphs; trigonometric identities and trigonometric equations; appropriate applications of trigonometry; and analytic geometry. [FALL/SPRING] Five hours per week. Prerequisite(s): Complete MAT 032+ as a prerequisite, or appropriate placement score. Note: All developmental courses must be completed with a grade of “C” or better in order to progress to the next developmental level or into college-level courses.
