CIS 109 - Introduction to Computers4 credits An exploration into computer usage, information technology and their impact on our daily lives. This course introduces computer technology, Internet resources, and commonly used software applications such as web browsers, word processing, spreadsheets and presentation graphics. The basics of computer programming will be explored and applied to solving problems and provide a brief introduction to physical computing. This course provides students’ the opportunity to explore a variety of technology and apply those skills in other classes and in business. [FALL/SPRING] Three hours lecture, two hours laboratory per week. Note: CyberWatch curriculum equivalent: CW120.
