Award: Letter of Recognition

Program Description: The Mathematics Letter of Recognition is designed to provide students with basic knowledge and skills in mathematics for entry-level employment, educational advancement, or life applications. To be eligible for completion of this program, a student must successfully complete two of the recommended courses.

The Letter of Recognition can serve to acknowledge a student’s success in this focused area of study and can be used as a building block for completion of a certificate or degree program. Students should consult with the College’s Admissions Office or an academic advisor in planning an appropriate program.

Program Requirements:

Take two of the following courses:

MAT 113+ - College Algebra 3 credits or
MAT 115+ - Precalculus 5 credits
MAT 140+ - Calculus and Analytic Geometry I 4 credits or
MAT 120+ - Introduction to Applied Calculus 3 credits
MAT 204+ - Introduction to Statistics 3 credits

Minimum Required Credits: 6
