LAW 204+ - Constitutional Law3 credits An overview of the history and interpretation of the U.S. Constitution, articles and amendments. The student will explore the three branches of the federal government and the interpretation of the articles that created them, and control their functioning. The course will also examine the individual’s rights in society, the changes in society that impact individual rights, and the Supreme Court decisions interpreting such rights. [AS NEEDED] Three hours lecture per week. Prerequisite(s): Complete ENG 094+ as a prerequisite, or appropriate placement score. Note: All developmental courses must be completed with a grade of “C” or better in order to progress to the next developmental level or into college-level courses.
