EDU 223+ - Student Performance Assessment3 credits The identification and utilization of appropriate student performance assessments. A variety of assessment instruments will be studied and developed which measure student achievement in the cognitive, psychomotor and affective domains. Topics covered include formative and summative assessments, informal and formal assessments, assessment goals, national and state assessments, student performance criteria, cognitive assessments, performance assessments, student portfolio assessment, student grading systems and instructor evaluation. [SPRING - AS NEEDED] Three hours lecture per week. Prerequisite(s): Bachelor’s Degree. Note: This course is designed for those seeking MSDE Teaching Certification as a “career changer.”
