CIS 269 - Hardening the Infrastructure4 credits This course provides network administrators with an awareness of security-related issues and the essential skills they need to implement security in a given network. The course addresses protective security technologies in today’s enterprise environments: TCP packet analysis, OS hardening, router security, firewall systems, Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems, virus protection, Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), and disaster recovery. [FALL] Three hours lecture, two hours laboratory per week. Prerequisite(s): CIS 267 Note: CyberWatch curriculum equivalent: CW 225.
