MAT 115 - Precalculus5 credits A precalculus algebra and trigonometry course to prepare students majoring in mathematics, engineering, or physical science for courses in calculus and higher-level mathematics. Topics include the real number system; algebraic, exponential, logarithmic, and polynomial functions; trigonometric functions, inverse trigonometric functions, trigonometric identities, and the Laws of Sines and Cosines. [FALL/SPRING] Five hours per week. Prerequisite(s): Appropriate score on placement test or MAT 032 .
