SOC 167 - Gerontology3 credits A study of the last third of life, beginning with preretirement. The impact of society’s demands and expectations of the older person and the individual’s reactions are studied with attention to healthcare, sexuality, recreation, retirement, occupational opportunities, and separation. [AS NEEDED] Three hours lecture per week. Prerequisite(s): RECOMMENDED SOC 161.
