BIO 101 - Fundamentals of Biology4 credits | Meets a General Education requirement. A study of the basic concepts of living organisms including cell structure and function, metabolism, growth and reproduction, genetics, behavior, adaptation, and evolution for the non-science major. [FALL/SPRING] Three hours lecture, two hours of laboratory per week. Prerequisite(s): Complete ENG 094+ and MAT 023 as prerequisites, or appropriate placement scores. Note: Students cannot receive credit for both BIO 101 and BIO 111 . All developmental courses must be completed with a grade of “C” or better in order to progress to the next developmental level or into college-level courses.
