CIS 254+ - Linux – Use, Configuration & Administration3 credits Combines operating systems concepts and hands-on practice on how to install, configure, use, and administer the Linux operating system. Topics include the basic elements of the UNIX and Linux operating systems, using the shell, managing processes and file systems, systems administration and security, and shell programming. [FALL] Two hours lecture, two hours laboratory per week. Prerequisite(s): CIS 152+ .
