IMD 171 - Desktop Publishing and Graphics Presentation3 credits Desktop publishing includes graphic design with emphasis on terminology, layout, color and design. Students will create flyers, brochures, and newsletters using industry standard desktop publishing software. Considerable hands-on experience will be provided. Good keyboarding skills and experience with a windowing operating system, including file/folder management, are necessary for success in this course. [FALL] Two hours lecture, two hours laboratory per week. Prerequisite(s): Complete ENG 094+ as a prerequisite, or appropriate placement score. Prereq/Corequisite: Take MAT 023 as a pre or corequisite, or appropriate placement score. Note: All developmental courses must be completed with a grade of “C” or better in order to progress to the next developmental level or into college-level courses.
