HUM 110 - Integrated Arts3 credits | Meets a General Education requirement. An introduction to theater, dance, music, and the visual arts. Overview of the arts during major historical periods and an in-depth analysis of one historical period through the arts will be examined. The course will focus on a study of the content, functions, and achievements of dance, music, theater, and the visual arts as primary media for communication, inquiry, and insight. This experience will enhance self-expression and will provide a better understanding of the human experience. This course meets the integrated arts requirement of the approved Maryland Associate of Arts in Teaching degree. [FALL/SPRING] Three hours lecture. Prerequisite(s): Complete ENG 094 as a prerequisite, or appropriate placement score. Prereq/Corequisite: Take MAT 023 as a pre or corequisite, or appropriate placement score. Note: All developmental courses must be completed with a grade of “C” or better in order to progress to the next developmental level or into college-level courses.
